I had a lovely view into a jacaranda tree from my room, plus a convenient little sitting room and kitchenette at the front of the motel. However, the mesh on the windows had holes, allowing mosquitoes in, and the food in the restaurant was haphazard, rarely getting orders right. The rooms are nicer but come at a 4-star price for what is essentially a 3-star experience.

The desk staff were surly after my 18-hour journey, but once I interacted with them, they were cooperative. Vanessa at reception was quite rude, unfortunately.

The hotel's location on Upper Hill is excellent for business travelers needing quick access to the industrial area and CBD. The rooms are very spacious and clean, perfect for a comfortable stay. The service is top-notch with friendly and helpful staff. The dining experience is nice with a good vegetarian spread. However, the noisy traffic and early gym activity may disturb light sleepers.
